I was productive...sorta

I worked on some hair thingies (yes, that's exactly what they are called) and a couple of earrings this weekend, but they are not 100% complete.  My only excuse is that it was very hot and the fan kept blowing my stuff around and Ms. Luna kept sitting on the fabric I was using for the hair thingies.  She was peeved that my whole undivided attention was not on her.  Nah...she's not spoiled at all!

Since I don't have any of my new stuff to show, I think it's the perfect time to introduce you to my  13 year old niece, Vivian.  Here she is pointing at the Hollywood sign:

Vivian has lived with me since she was 3 years old.  So now you know how I got the name of my company...Vivian Luna Accessories.  I usually show her what I'm working on and she gives me a thumbs up or down.  Hopefully soon I'll get her to publish some posts on here as well.  Will be fun to get a teenager's prospective....I think!  Until next time heeeerrrr'sss LUNA....

I'm back....

I haven’t posted in a month....not because I was lazy (which I can be,  but I kept to my working out 3 x's a week schedule so there!) or a big time procrastinator (which I am...nothing more to say about that).  I did think a lot about my little blog. I wanted to write and publish something…anything. But the reality is I had nothing.  I couldn’t even create jewelry as nothing really inspired me.  I felt so…what’s the word…blah…couldn’t come up with a more intelligent word, but really that’s how I felt.  I was so not into the creative process that I didn’t even check the blogs I normally read daily...until today.  And let me tell you thank goodness I did!  I read a post by Flamingo Toes.  Here is the link to her blog www.flamingotoes.com  Check it out!  She rocks!  She posted about her “blogiversary” and how she wanted to create a blog but was too insecure to do it, etc., etc.  That’s me!  And I’m sure many others out there.  And, unfortunately, that has stopped me from doing and trying new things.  So sad.  BUT!  Her blog inspired me to move forward.  To heed the title of my blog “Going with It” and actually go with it!  Yeah, nobody is reading my words or seeing my photos now, but maybe, just maybe in time I’ll have followers too!  I’ll have people giving me a virtual “high five” and telling me how “amazing” they think I am! LOL!  OK, too much caffeine but hey, you gotta dream big to live big!  Or something like that.  Anyway, this is my third post and I feel great because, although I didn't post any tutorials, great recipe, or new jewelry, I posted! And that's a start!

Half the week is gone....

Lots of drama at home so haven't had a chance to work on my jewelry.  I have lots of ideas but need to manage my time in order to make it happen!  Needless to say I am tired and in need of a nap.  Work hasn't been any easier.  Did I mention I work full time?  Sometimes it's not very busy so it doesn't feel like full time work, but other times, such as the past couple of days, has been a struggle.  I work for an international company so have to deal with other countries way of thinking, which can be incredibly tough!  So, as you can guess I do not have any new jewelry pics.  Although I did start on some pieces but then discarded as wasn't happy with the outcome. {{sigh}}  I'm trying to get a point of view...to make more cohesive items but it's difficult as my mind goes in different directions!  I'm also having  a problem with my blog.  Not sure if doing this right but, as my title states, I'm just "going with it".  Ok, so I like to leave you with a smile so I am adding another Luna pic and just so I can feel productive I will include some of my jewelry items available on my Etsy store.

First Day...

So, this is my first blog post.  I love reading food and crafting blogs and thought, “Hey, I could do that!” but then...I didn’t.  I kept putting it off and off.  I am a true blue procrastinator.  Nothing to be proud of but there it is.  Also, I was a bit (OK, a lot) intimidated by the process and by the idea that maybe nobody would be interested.  But, after much meditating in front of the TV I thought it’s time!  It’s time I just put it out there and see what happens.  If nothing more than to check something off of my list of things to (finally) get done!  So here I am rambling on about nothing, but it’s something to me because I am actually here.  OK, so what is my blog going to be about…crafts, recipes, more ramblings and, well, just about anything I fancy.  It is my blog after all!  Also, I have an Etsy store that I’ve been neglecting.  This blog will keep me focused on that as well.  That's all for now.
